We stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Golden.
Typical of these virus times they offered breakfast in a take away paper bag...
Both our dinner and our breakfast were consumed at the White Tooth Bistro in town.

Now we were on the home straights so to speak.
Departing Golden at 17:22z we flew northwards to round the mountains and into the valley to follow the highway through the Rogers Pass.
Our objective was to fly to Salmon Arm where we landed at 18:42z to add 46.85 litres Avgas.

Rogers Pass

The terrain is not so clear on the Sky Demon maps, but this is so far "experimental", and Nav Canada apparently doesn't release its charts...

I'd let Hammy know that we would be inbound and so he was there to welcome us with coffee... No biscuits, so I broke a Nature Valley Oats 'n' Honey bar into biscuit size pieces.

A good welcome at Salmon Arm.

Takeoff from Salmon Arm was at 20:55z on the direct route over Hope and into the Lower Mainland to land at Langley at 22:51z.
I suggested we stop be Chilliwack on the way, but the prospect of home cooking was strong for Ted.
This was one of those important human journeys of reminiscence that can only happen once, but which reinforce one's memories.

The total time was 24.4 hours in the air, and 28.5 hours engine start to engine stop. I'll let you calculate how much fuel we used, (I know I missed one amount).

On to part eight
